If you are interested in joining us as we come alongside families to help them encounter Christ and equip them with the Gospel, then reach out and sign up! We would like volunteers to be able to serve one Sunday per month for at least 6 months.

The role of the worship team is to foster an environment for people to experience the presence of Christ through music and other elements. Each week those involved in the upcoming service will meet for a practice on Thursdays at 7pm and setup on Sundays at 9am. As worship team members, we want our lives to reflect that of Christ and allow our worship to always point others toward Him. If God has given you a desire to worship Him through these areas and you’d like to get involved please sign up! The number of Sundays you play is flexible on your own schedule and we ask that you can attend a 1.5 hour team practice on Thursday evenings prior to the Sundays you play.

A big part of the vision of Roots Community is to love and serve the Roosevelt, Ravenna, and U-District neighborhoods in the name of Christ. We currently have several outlets for members to serve both individually and as a corporate body. Instead of creating competing service projects, we desire to come alongside the services already going on in the community.
A FEW AREAS WHERE WE CURRENTLY SERVE:
The University District Food Bank
The Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center/Garden
Ten Thousand Villages (Volunteer hours)
Roots Community special service projects (Various dates/projects)
Information handouts for Roots Community
